"Our third Lady of the Year
is AMBER'S REGINA. We are sorry that Regina is given this high award posthumously
for she was indeed a great producing bitch. Regina was the product of
an out-cross bredding, her sire being the great show dog Ch. Bar v. Weiturchen
ROM and her dam the linebred Amber's Phillida whose grandfathers on both
sides of her pedigree are Fortune and Fels of Arbywood. Amber's Regina
was bred by Barbara Amidon and Dr. Robert Meeghan and was owned by Barbara.
Regina's progeny are out of 3 different sires and each of the 4 progeny
won either a Best or a Best of Opposite Sex at the Futurity-Maturity shows
in which they were entered. The Regina breeding to Ch. Immer Treu vom
Cellar Schloss was a distant line breeding on Ch. Troll vom Richterbach.
The breedings to Lakeside's Gilligan Island and to Zeus of Fran-Jo are
line-breedings on the "F" litter Arbywood. Congratulations go to Dr. Meeghan
and especially to Barbara Amidon for this is the second time she has achieved
an ROM title with one of her great producing bitches."
