"This was now the best class of dogs so far. There will be many champions coming from this class. The winner was a medium large black and tan male of good proportions with a beautiful long neck. He was clean coming and going and had a suspended side gait. His smooth movement was assertive with an air of charisma. I would have liked to see a bit more coat and a little more forechest, but that will come with age. Really a lovely dog."

"What a wonderful way to start judging the three days of my dog classes. I've never seen a junior puppy class this deep in quality. There were very few in the class who were not stellar show contenders. Patrick, my class winner, is a standard exemplar of the near ideal 6-9 puppy. A richly pigmented black and reddish tan, he has a wonderful exuberant attitude that effortless movement with strong, driving transmission that resulted in perfect time which is seldom visible in such a baby. He was just two weeks over six month. I was extremely pleased to see him go on to win BEST PUPPY."
