December 1964 Review

"Jesse has a very good shoulder, a high wither which blends neatly into a beautiful topline. He has a strong firm middle piece, deeply angulated hindquarters with lowset hocks. As you would guess, his gait is quite impressive. He makes use of his excellent structure and moves with a free easy long stride. His temperament is sound. A personality kid that loves to play ball with children, is always willing to try anything new. Jesse is a rich black and orange tan. He has a correct bite and full dentition. He does not carry a recessive gene for long coat."

"Gave the Breed to Jesse James on a better picture when posed. Jesse also has excellent side movement and tremendous rear drive. Jesse in size is close to the Standard. So many shepherds today are almost Great Dane, with huge massive bones, not possessing the oval dry bone of a true working dog. The Cliffords of Doppelt-Tay Kennels are to be commended on their excellent breeding program as seen by the overall quality of the winning dogs today out of their breeding"
