1980 Register of Merit Dam

"I do not believe we have ever before had a Canadian owned bitch make her ROM, so we wish special congratulations to the owner of Bianka, Lois Fisher.  Bianka is sired by Ch. Caralon's Hein v.d. Lockenheim ROM out of Brandywine's Minute. This was an out-cross breeding and 3/4 of the pedigree is German breeding.  When Bianka was bred to Ch. Cobert's Reno of Lakeside ROM, she produced the Canadian Grand Victrix who also made her American Championship and a son who also made Championships in Canada and the USA and who was the top winning German Shepherd Dog in Canada.  Her third winning progeny is also a Reno daughter but her fourth progeny was sired by Ch. Eko-Lan's Paladen ROM.  It is interesting to note that Bianka is a full sister to Ch. Amber aud der Edelheim ROM, who also produced exceptionally well when bred to Reno.  So once again out-cross breeding often have tremendous value for a breeding program."
