She was not a great dog herself but extremely pretty in type, beautiful head and a marvelous dark eye which has carried on through her progeny. She had very pretty shepherd coloring, black and golden tan. Katja went Reserve Winner’s Bitch at the Morris and Essex show under Fanny MacIlvain. She was a bitch who was very pretty, maybe finishable."
