"Medium rich black and tan. His proportions are somewhat long, I would like to have seen a stronger head and firmer ear set. His front assembly shoulder blade is correct, upper arm is somewhat straight, I would like to see his back firmer. In motion he covered a lot of ground. I would like to see him firmer. Good temperament. No dentition problems."

"A very large dog, attractive reddish tan.  Well-angulated front and rear.  This dog was Best Opposite Sex in the Mid West Maturity when I judged it two years ago.  He can cover a lot of ground with his long strides but did not move as easily on this day as I have seen him in previous shows.  Another quality dog."

#10 Sire for 2001~ Futurity/Maturity System

It is an honor again to be in the Red Book.  We have had the good fortune to be here for several years.  Jag is in the shadow of his great sire Illuminator (Iggy).  Jag is a very short coupled dog with a good forehand, strong middle piece and powerful hindquarter, nice length of neck and good breed type, very good feet and strong pasterns.  He has excellent ligamentation and, like Iggy, can be bred to extremely angulated and loose ligamented bitches with success.  He produces excellent pigment, has full dentition, carries no long coat gene or off color.  His progeny are making an impression in the ring now, and we are very proud of them.  He is producing excellent feet, pasterns, and bone and also improves pigment.  I predict, like I did for his sire Iggy, that he will be an excellent producer.  It will be a while before we can truly tell what bloodlines will combine with him but he is truly doing quite well so far."
