The Award of Excellence (AOE) title recognizes outstanding representatives of our breed exhibiting beauty, health, intelligence, trainability, stamina, and character, “the total dog”.  Qualifications for this award are listed below.  The AOE recipient will -

q           Be a champion
                  Enclose a copy of the AKC champion certificate.

q           Have earned the GSDCA Select title
                  Enclose a copy of the Review page, a copy of the dog’s select photo  (see below), or a copy of the GSDCA marked website “catalog”.

q           Be OFA certified for both hips and elbows
                  Enclose a copy of both the OFA hip and OFA elbow certificates.

q           Have earned a regular AKC Performance degree(s) including obedience, tracking,       herding, or agility and/or a Schutzhund degree
                  Enclose a copy of the AKC or Schutzhund certificate(s).

q           Have passed the GSDCA Temperament Test
                  Enclose a copy of the GSDCA Temperament Test certificate.

In addition, please include the following:

q           A five-generation pedigree.

q           A show picture and a head shot or picture of your dog at work.

All information should be attached to this form and sent to the AOE chair before September 1 in order to be recognized as an AOE recipient at the GSDCA National Specialty Show.
