This is an activity that is completely designed around having fun with your German Shepherd. Trick Dog is just that—you teach your German Shepherd tricks (of your choice) and you present your dog doing those tricks either virtually or in-person to a Trick Dog evaluator—you earn points for an AKC Trick Dog title.
Tricks are behaviors that are designed to entertain others. AKC Trick Dog ranges from very simple novice tricks such as teaching your dog to get in a box on cue, to complex tricks that are several behaviors chained together in one exciting sequence.
Dogs must have an AKC, PAL, or AKC Canine Partners number to earn a title. This activity can be enjoyed and titled by all registered dogs; both purebreds and mixed breeds.
